The Oslo Centre for Critical Architectural Studies is a humanities based research centre for advanced studies in the field of architecture.

OCCAS cultivates a critical approach to the built environment through research that rethinks the boundaries of the architectural object and the definition of architectural authorship. With projects ranging from the study of discreet architectural objects and exhibitions, to architectural processes, contexts and landscapes and preservation, OCCAS insists on the contemporary relevance of historical research, its critical and projective potentials and its urgency for architectural discourse today.

OCCAS encompasses an interdisciplinary community of leading scholars committed to combining theoretical and historiographical perspectives with meticulous archival research and praxis. OCCAS is dedicated to the documentation, interpretation, criticism and contextualisation of architecture as a cultural, historical, political and material phenomenon.
