The Oslo Centre for Critical Architectural Studies is a humanities based research centre for advanced studies in the field of architecture.

Part of the Institute of Form, Theory and History at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, OCCAS encompasses an interdisciplinary community of researchers committed to combining theoretical and historiographical perspectives with meticulous archival research. OCCAS is dedicated to documentation, interpretation, criticism and contextualisation of architecture as a cultural, historical and material phenomenon. OCCAS cultivates a critical approach to the built environment through research that rethinks the boundaries of the architectural object and the definition of architectural authorship. With projects ranging from the study of discreet architectural objects and exhibitions, to architectural processes, contexts and landscapes, OCCAS insists on the contemporary relevance of historical research, its critical potentials and its urgency for architectural discourse today.
