OCCAS supports individual Masters students to conduct self-programmed studio courses as part of their 5-year education in Architecture. Studio activities may focus on historical research towards a written thesis, or more experimental combinations of writing, drawing and model making to develop exhibitions around architectural history.
Spring 2025. Ines Omvik. “Lady Anne Clifford: Building Attributes.” Architectural exhibition realised at Abbott Hall, Kendal, Cumbria, UK in collaboration with Judith Clark, Centre for Fashion Curation, London University of the Arts. Exhibition period: 9 May to 27 December, 2025. Supervisors: Tim Anstey and Judith Clark.
Autumn 2022. Cathrine Sundem. “The Baths of Caracalla – as prism for culture, design, society and politics.” Sectional and historical investigation of ancient Rome, articulated as an annotated 5m long architectural drawing. Supervisors: Tim Anstey and Mari Lending.
Spring 2022. Lydia Winninge. “Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana and the defence of Fendi”. Written thesis in architectural History and Theory. Winner of the PAX Award for Excellence in Architectural Writing, AHO, 2022. Supervisor: Tim Anstey.
