The relationship between the built, the written, and the spoken was the subject of investigation in a week-long workshop at Villa Garbald in Bregaglia, Switzerland, 9-14 September 2024. Organized jointly by the University of Lausanne and University of Zurich, the workshop gathered linguists, literature scholars and architectural historians for discussions on the intricate overlaps between architecture and language. OCCAS scholars Mari Hvattum and Jarle Tollefsrud participated in the event, which was funded by the Swiss Science Foundation.
