Associate Professor Richard Wittman from University of California, Santa Barbara, was a visiting scholar to The Printed & Built project in the spring of 2016. Wittman is author of the pioneering study Architecture, Print Culture, and the Public Sphere in Eighteenth Century France (2007) and currently completing a cultural history of the century-long reconstruction of the Early Christian basilica of San Paolo fuori le mura in Rome (1825-1933).
